Creative Arts Showcase

The evening brought together an impressive range of performances, with students from different year groups showcasing their talents in a wide variety of forms. The programme ranged from Shakespearean pieces such as Macbeth and Puck’s soliloquy, through to contemporary performances, musical theatre, dance and some well-judged comedy pieces.
There were particularly memorable moments in the lyrical and contemporary performances, alongside some impressive choreography and acrobatic work. The inclusion of well-known works such as Blood Brothers, The Crucible and Chicago added a real sense of depth and ambition. The variety ensured that there was something for everyone, and the standard throughout was consistently high. Alongside the performances, the art exhibition showcased work of a very high standard across both GCSE and A Level.
The evening proved to be a real success and a wonderful celebration of the creative talents within our school. My sincere thanks go to the Art and Drama departments, and all staff involved, for their work in bringing together such a varied and enjoyable event.
