HEADMASTER'S INTRODUCTION
Our aim at Bourne Grammar School is to achieve excellence in all we do. Our vision is to be one of the best schools in the country - a school at which students will be happy and successful and one to which parents wish to send their children.
We are a mixed selective grammar school serving around 1000 students. Using the Lincolnshire 11+ examination we select from the top quarter of the year six students in Bourne and the surrounding area from which is drawn our five forms of entry.
Our places, including those available each year for entry to our large Sixth Form, are much in demand.
It is a privilege to be entrusted with the education of these gifted young people; we respond to this responsibility by offering our students an education which will stimulate, challenge, and encourage them to develop as self-motivated and self-directed learners.
We enable our students to achieve their potential so that they leave us confident and well-qualified for the next stage in their education. We are an academic school but we also believe in the development of the whole person through student involvement in a wide range of educational experiences and a dynamic variety of creative, intellectual and sporting activities.
